First four paintings ever painted (1980) plus one from 1990.
Having been a fine art photographer for years, my work started looking more and more like painting. I decided to see if I could actually paint - and this copy work was the result. Was I surprised! And so my new career began.......
Painting number three
Early in World War One, small Fishing Smacks who worked the channel and the coast of Great Britain were often sunk by U-boats. A few were outfitted with a single gun, in the hopes of defending against the deadly submarines. This is a painting to honour the bravery of the men in the first boat to attack and sink a submarine.
This is the second painting executed. Called October Sky - it is on linen as I decided all of my work should be on the finest materials. It actually was the view from my backyard.
Painting number four.
Inspired by the multitude of dolphin often found joyously jumping in the Laguna Madre (Mother Bay).
